We thought we’d take a small break to decode the hilarious and infamous bogus email sent out by Alltheanswers aka Ted - another member of the Sham Patrol.
Once the Sham Patrol decided Caroline Lyders’ would be playing The Unidentified Beach Girl, they got the ball rolling by sending the following email, this was a calculated move intended to lead the Soul Patrol right to her doorstep.
Now, let’s use our brains here (which I know many people with heads up their asses don’t like to do) — but why the hell would Ted Cognata, Taylor’s personal friend and one time-employee, ever lead the crazy-ass fans to the doorstep of any “real” romantic partner of Taylor? He wouldn’t. Unless he wanted the relationship to last about 3.2 seconds. This was the biggest red flag that screamed FAKE FAKE FAKE!! Even dumb people thought this was strange. Because if it was “real” Taylor would protect the womans privacy.
However, when that email from Ted came out it was requested to be posted on every single fan site ASAP. Hmmm. Why’s that? Because this was a game of –we’ll identify the The Unidentified Blonde (aka The Beach Marine) before she identifies herself. They edged her out. She deserved it surely, so we don’t feel bad for her, but the other option was worse.
But what many people did not realize is that this Fake-Ass Email actually had morsels of truth. As long as you read between the lines of a very bad writer. Ok, strap it on folks and here we go:
“Let me tell you this. And you can tell everyone else this. The boy isn’t gay. He is the farthest thing from it.”
First off all, unless you want every person who reads this to think that Taylor is gay, that is the stupidest shit you could ever write. We’re well aware Taylor’s not gay - but writing this as the first line in a fucking cover-up email screams GAY PUBLICITY STUNT. Whoever wrote it, kick them to the curb Sham Patrol.
“The girl he is with, which I know but won’t mention her name”
Of course you won’t. See, this is the attempt at seeming like they’re “respecting her privacy”..instead….
“they are mad about each other.”
What’s that Beav? Dudes don’t talk like this. Mad about each other? Show me a man that talks like this. Imagine your husband or boyfriend saying these words. Exactly.
“This girl is an absolute class act.”
Ted, that was an unfinished sentence. Clown. You forgot the last word. Class act Clown.
“She is a very articulate,”
Meaning she doesn’t shut the hell up.
“well accomplished news anchor.”

In fact, in high school she won an award . I did a keg stand in high school. You wanna hear about it? Anyhow, these lines “news anchor” and “pianist” is where they totally suckered the Soul Patrol. Because of course every little Soul Patroller with google ability googled: news anchor pianist.
Now do me a favor, google that and what’s the FIRST thing that pops up?
Ohhhh.. Look at that! It’s Caroliar! This move was semi-smart. It made some folks think they really found her name on their own while Ted respected her privacy and they were really special.
“This is exactly what Taylor has been missing in his life.”
Yes, yes this charade is exactly what he needed. A fake girlfriend. Swell. Life has really been great since. Check out the numbers. Ok, this is where they really started screwing themselves by laying it on way too thick. This screamed 
“Taylor and I have spent the last two years of our lives together and my friend was burnt out from the road and TV.”
And this is where he’s trying to sell you the deep brotherly bond thing that they share, so fans will think “oh well if he says this, wowsers it really must mean something!” If Bill wrote this, it might work but since Bill wasn’t fanclub famous yet–it wouldn’t have worked.
“After they met, the old Taylor came back.”
Yipee! According to Taylor the old Taylor was an asshole. Yay. We’re thrilled. Gimme the new Taylor please.
“She is the type of person who will push Taylor to bigger and better things.”
She is the type of person who would push Taylor off a fucking cliff if he was blocking the camera.
“She is not some good looking bimbo”
Got that right. Cuz she’s not good looking period.
“who is with Taylor because he has money and is famous.”
But here, we’ve now confirmed that the Beach Marine was a good looking bimbo who was after him because he had money and was famous. This is serious projection here. They knew damn well when people saw those beach pics the first words that popped into their minds were: “ho”, “piece of ass”, “lesbian”. Right here is where they wanted to erase that image from peoples minds asap. She’s no ho! She’s a pianist. She’s a good girl! Really.
“I haven’t seen my boy this happy in a year.”
He just got set up, I’m sure he’s thrilled. And stop calling him boy–now you’re starting to sound gay.
“So all the fans need to chill out and be happy for for once.”
This was a case of when you do something bad to someone and then you get angry at them before they get angry at you.
“And the photos were not a set up.”
We’ve now confirmed the photos were set up. What’s the big deal? I don’t understand this. John Mayer even admitted Jessica Simpson was constantly setting his ass up. Who cares!
“The only people that knew he was going to Maui were a couple of close friends.”
And the photographer dude.
“Some asshole spotted him and took those pictures.”
Damn right. Because Beach Marine mapped it out for him. Laying on the beach was her idea. She was pretty slick, planned it weeks in advance and shit.
“Anyway the fans need to get real.”
Totally agree. That’s what we’re doing now.
“The guy has gone over and above to please everyone and people are still not happy.”
Yeah he even got himself a fake ass girlfriend so the grannies wouldn’t blow their wads over the Beach Marine Scandal.
“He has given his fans access to himself more than any artist I have ever seen. It is still not enough.”
Again guilt because we’re totally fucking you in the ass right now. Make you guilty before you see that we’re guilty.
“And as far as the casino thing, he has nothing to due with that. That is a management issue. Tours are not easy to put together and they are based on availability and location.”
The only thing I know about a casino was that Beach Marine hangs in them.
“So people need to get off his back about that as well.”
Because with Caroliar and Ruff Ruff hanging on there’s no room for anyone else!
“We love all the fans, but people are starting to get out of control and it really saddens me.”
This is love? Who wrote this email anyway? You should feel really stupid.
“All I ask is that everyone just be happy for our boy and let him breath a little.”
AKA stop asking questions.
“If everyone can do this, you will let the man be happy and in return you all will benefit from better songs and more intense shows.”
This statement maks me ill for some reason. It’s like some kind of bartering deal. Again, fire the person who wrote this email!
“I love you all and please take what I have to say to heart. We are all in this together.”
Oh you totally just buried yourself with this line. I am totally screwing you and feeding you bullshit. Let’s jump in the sea of shit head first!!

I read Taylor’s book and I think he obviously was really afraid of losing it all and what people would think if they found out he made a big mistake. I think he is hard on himself and maybe felt he let himself down too by making such a poor choice. I know that sounds weird but for some reason he didn’t want people to think of him in that light. So I think this hoax was a quick reaction and I think then he just got caught up in lies and didn’t know how to get himself out. Like someone said somewhere on this site, he never seemed comfortable telling them, it felt like he was almost going against himself and his true feelings about it.
I really believe that things haven’t been going well for him because he allowed this sort of thing into his life. I do hope this will set him straight. Sometimes people need to hit a bottom to get back up and walk a straight line.

The spark girl was a brown haired lady (with hair for once) that was spotted at some shows. She was seen last in westbury, new york, which is when Taylor gave that interview to OK. No one knows what happened there or how he ended up with the beach marine.

I sent Ted a myspace message at his WideSpreadTed myspace site back in late May and asked him point-blank if he had sent the famous email which had his name. I was just looking at his reply after a long time. He replied “It was me!!!!!!!!!!!!!” on May 30th.

Confused, I’ve heard that this was a brunette that he was seeing as far back as February. She was seen at the Coral Springs show. After the show, this girl was seen trying to get back stage and security wouldn’t let her. She sat down in the seats and got out her phone and sent a text. Soon after that, one of the guys came out from behind the stage and told security to let her go backstage.
She was also seen and spoke to fans at the Westbury show. One fan who talked to her for a while said she seemed very articulate and just from how she spoke you could tell she knew Taylor well but she wouldn’t say anything personal about them other then “I know him from LA”, “he’s a friend of mine”.
She’s been nicknamed “Spark” because it is believed she is the woman he said he had felt a ‘preliminary spark’ with.

The guy had been super private about his personal life–never seen with or discussed a woman–then all of a sudden he’s sending out a press release about one to his fanbase? And they convince themselves it’s because he’s really serious about her? Please! As mfoya pointed out, no one invites unrelenting scrutiny by press and fans unto someone they care about and want to keep safe.
Of course, if you don’t really give a crap about the person AND they would love nothing more than to have that exposure, then it makes sense.

When I look at the pics I see two different people easily. One is very attractive to me and one is not. He will be playing in the Pro-AM on Wednesday. He will play on a team made up of regular Golfers who have payed for the privilege to play and a Lady Pro who will be playing in the tourney.

On Wednesday, September 26, one of the largest player galleries will likely be for one of Alabama’s American Idols – Taylor Hicks. His fans, known as the Soul Patrol, are encouraged to come out and show their ongoing support for Hicks. The winner of the 2006 American Idol competition is a Birmingham native and an avid golfer. Hicks is likely to pull out both a golf club and a harmonica to entertain fans at the tournament. Tee times for Hicks, LPGA Players and other amateurs competing in the Pro-Am will be announced closer to the tournament.

I don’t care one way or another who or if Taylor dates. But I wonder how many of the people who so badly want an “apology” for whatever injustice is perceived are the same ones who scoffed when people wanted an apology over the f-bombs so many months ago? Taylor doesn’t have to answer to anyone but himself, and people who care that much about his personal life are overly-invested, IMO.

I honestly don’t understand the whole “controversy.” Why would Taylor have the need to deny the photos in Maui, by finding a substitute woman, and pretend that he is dating her?
With all due respect, at this point, it does not make any sense to me. I just don’t see why Taylor needs to pretend he is dating anyone—-I know he doesn’t have a problem finding women.
However, I do agree that the letter from Ted is somewhat bizarre.

Fans and the media would immediately try to find out her name, where she works, all about her. What if she wanted that publicity, and would sell to the tabloids a story like (as Junebug wrote) - “my sex weekend with the American Idol”? I remember seeing one of those tabloid stories with Leo DiCaprio and a ho he had been with. It’s very humiliating. That’s what this sham seems to have been trying to prevent.

votem, so why isn’t so called shady other woman at the beach selling her story? the media is pretty savvy about this stuff, why haven’t they figured out this horrible sham that’s going on, you would think that they would be all over this god awful thing that are trying to pull…and who is so called shady lady at the beach anyway, why haven’t you guy’s outed her, it sounds like you know who she is. wouldn’t that bolster your claims that this is all fake.

I’m guessing she won’t show up at the golf tourney because the celeb portion on Wed. isn’t televised. Why bother? I’m still pissed she has the audacity to make sure she gets photographed everytime he’s in NYC, first in that hideous sundress at the Good Morning America interview, recently in the streets of Soho. I know she’d just love a job in the Big Apple! Ugh

So what if he loses fans like tambo - she can’t see past the idol worship. This was done for fans like tambo, but once Taylor gets back to being real with his music, he will gain fans. The CD he did was to please the Idol fans, but that wasn’t the real him. Taylor is blues rock/southern rock - he’s not Michael Bolton.

While I think this email was from someone (Ted?) who had it leaked to a rumor / gossip site, what was his reason for doing so? Was he actually employed by Taylor Hicks at that point? Was he a representative for Taylor? I would have to say he was not. So perhaps, do you think he overstepped his authority to speak for Taylor? I would say he did. I understand that his message was deleted by the gossip / rumor site where it was posted. Unless a person hears directly from the source itself then one should not rely on a second hand source. Would you regard second hand information as the truth? Certainly not.

Ted is one of Taylor’s best buddies for the last 2 years, at least that’s what he says in his email. We always took Ted’s word as truth at the gc site during the spring tour. He’s considered ‘inner circle’ like Bill Will.
