Inside sources have 100% confirmed that Caroliar Lieders is history! And the sham has been kicked to the curb! Apparently some kind of divine intervention visited Hicks in his sleep or something and he has come to his senses and gotten rid of that gum on his shoe/albatross around his neck/thorn in his side/black cloud over his head/heifer on his back/giraffe in his way–once and for all!
We’ve been told the sham is officially kaput and Caroline Lyders must now fend for herself in the jungle (AKA find that job on her own without pretending to be the fake girlfriend of some famous guy she’s latched onto for publicity. Um, good look to ya. Seriously.)
It seems the summer sightings were orchestrated to make sure people would never question the true identity of the woman on the beach and seal out any doubts. OK we can understand that. However the last “sightings” were because Hicks made a deal with yet another devil. Lyders has been conniving hard for that anchor job in Washington DC and for the other in Boston. Now that we think about it, the sprouting of MFOYA is Lyders fault. See what happens when you get greedy? You get caught.

To all my fans and The Soul Patrol, I want to take a moment to talk about the recent news that my label and I have mutually parted ways. The important thing for all of you to remember is that I’ve been a working musician my whole life. This is turning the page on a new chapter of my career. Artistic freedom and control is an exciting prospect. The things that are most important to me is creating my art, performing it, and my fans. With the momentum that all of you have created over the years, Taylor Hicks is not going to stop anytime soon. I’ve started working on the new album, writing and scheduling exciting collaborations. The DVD, Whomp at the Warfield, is in it’s final stages, and will be released soon. So as one door closes, a new one opens for 2008 with more excitement for all my fans than ever before. I can only hope your sources are impeccable MFOYA. I seem to remember that lull over the summer, especially when he tagged in the middle of one of his songs, and then no sightings of CL for over a month….we thought it was over then and she popped up.
Though knowing she wasn’t with him and his family at the Liberty Bowl and not with him for NYE says so much right there…..

Sunny, I went and checked out the Fanatics. Oh My God. I can only imagine what some stranger might think stumbling on that site. Deranged. Jeannie the SP freak is now threatening MFOYA. LOL. Claiming to know Taylor. Her BS keeps getting funnier. She would lie her ASS of on TOSP and now has moved to the Fanatic freaks. I’m glad they have a place to hang tho. They are such a smart group there that they think MFOYA got the sham finished info from a song. LOL.

In that case he should be looking MUCH happier. This is great news. Well, considering all the crap flying around right now. His statement on his myspace is nice, and I think he’s trying to make the best of it, but I have been told that J records did take the initiation to drop him. It is for the best for sure. I doubt he knew this media frenzy was coming. If so certainly he would have tried to make it look a little less one sided sooner.

I’m thrilled to hear that Taylor is moving past this mistake and hopefully on to better things. It seems he’s free from the two evils that were holding him down. I’m sure one day he will meet a wonderful woman and he will have a REAL romance and no one will question it and best of all some beautiful music will come from that. Amen.

Ok, so now what? What happens when Taylor has his first concert? Do we draw a line down the center of the venue? Soul-patrollers on one side and the rest of us on the other? As to that, how is Taylor to deal with this type of in-fighting in his fanbase? Further, how are we to forgive, forget, and otherwise put this business behind us? I believe we need to do that (put it behind us) and not pick at this thing forever, if we are to support Taylor’s career in the future. I’d really like some help here, (I’m not really as obsessive as I sound - lol!) I just so badly want to be a Taylor Hicks fan. What I mean is, I am a wholehearted fan of the music and who I thought Taylor was. I just need to believe in honesty to continue because, right now, frankly, it’s an effort. I don’t need him to be a boy scout (and would truthfully rather he wasn’t), but do have to be able to understand who and what he really is.

J records obviously dropped all three. Taylor, Ruben, McPhee. The comment about the McPhee article says that J Records is willing to reopen the possibility of being in business with Taylor depending on his new album. That’s what it sounds like to me without putting any “spin” on it.

IF he bought out, he would have SAID SO very clearly. “I bought out” sounds a lot better then “Taylor Hicks has been dropped.” Why is this fan base so reluctant to see things for what they are?

Bashing on the fake girlfriend was. Redguitar, whoisstupid, hustler and quite a few others remember it well too. Maybe we should pull some of those old posts up? As for her preoccupation with mfoya–Jat is 70 years old and mfoya is quite young. She should find a more age appropriate obsession and go knit a sweater for Taylor. JAT. This is a person who gleefully joined in the CL-bashing on another board. Now mind you, as hustler stated, she always thought CL was really Tay’s gf. So basically she was beating up on CL for being with Taylor. In other words, she was a…Jealous Hater! Exactly what she’s accusing other people of being.
That’s one difference between us and JAT: We make ratatouille of CL’s ass because we know CL was never a real gf and disliked her for her duplicity and for exploiting Taylor to advance her career. And here’s another thing, our position has remained consistent.
But because she’s pissed about being banned from MFOYA, JAT’s decided to ally herself with the CL lovers (aka the people she formerly laughed at.) If those mouth-breathers believe that JAT was “undercover” for 6 months, then they are even more idiotic than she used to accuse them of being.
At first I thought she was just 50% embarrassingly overprotective of Taylor and 50% two-faced, but now I’m starting to think she’s 100% bonkers. The whole thing is a bit schizo, even by SP standards.

When I first saw Taylor on the beach with that chick, I was jealous. No, not jealous that Taylor had a girlfriend. I will probably never meet the guy. No, I was jealous of beach babe’s smokin’ bod!
Then pics of Taylor with Caroline began to surface and something seemed off to me. I’m no expert on body language, but I sensed a weird vibe. Taylor tried to make an attempt at a connection, but Caroline had this haughty and patronizing air about her. It’s as if she was slumming by being with Taylor. But it sounds like she’s a climber and will cling to any link of fame to get ahead. She’s a blonde, WASPy Jessica Seinfeld.
So it’s a good thing that Taylor has kicked Caroline to the curb. Now he can get back to business of making some really great music. It is worrisome that he got dropped by J records because they have lots of money for promotion and marketing. But I’m going to trust Taylor. He’s probably better off. I never figured him for a top 40 artist. He’s more of a niche market kind of musician. I wish him well.
And separating fans from the Soul Patrol-interesting.
